The Zaans Medical Center in Zaandam approached me to make a permanent artwork marking the entrance of the silent space.
This specific hall is very busy with visitors, patients, nursing and technical staff passing through. The hospital has a very distinct design, so it was nice challenge.
My studio wall of ivy covered in alabaster dust with the natural doorway to a colourful part of the garden proved to be the right image for the location.
‘The garden’ can be viewed during opening hours of the hospital.
