This installation was commissioned by Stichting Requiem Lochem for their third anniversary in the Grote or Sint- Gudula church in Lochem.
Each year on All Souls’ Day the foundation organises a requiem concert performed by Cappella Amsterdam. They also ask a poet to recite a poem and an artist to make a site specific work.
This is the third time I have been asked for the assignment. This year I chose to portray the lily from the beginning of its flowering till the end. The images were printed on two pieces of voile so they could merge into one another.
